How to Install a third OS

If I have installed two OS (knoppix 6.7, and fedora 14) can I install a third OS (unbuntu 11.10) from a live dvd without erasing the other OS?

I have 1.5 TB of hard drive space, and I like the option of which operating system I am going to use, I got into unbuntu along with fedora, and I think they compliment each other, knoppix is a great tool for fixing my mess ups (which is a lot).
Thank you.

Yes, you can install another operating system as long as you've got some space for it. How is your drive(s) partitioned at the moment? If you haven't got a spare partition for Ubuntu, you'd have to rearrange/resize your existing partitions to make space for Ubuntu.

Fedora should have the tool called gparted. You could shrink Fedora partition.

If you can't find it in the menu, open the terminal, log in as root (su) and type 'gparted'.
If it tells you that it's not installed, type:
Code:
yum install gparted

'gparted

I found the gparted and looked at it and studied it for a while. How do I use it properly?
