Are you installing (or wanting to) from Linux or Windows? That pendrivelinux one is for use on Windows only.

I have an oldish computer which doesn't have an OS installed on it at the moment. I do run "Live CD's" on the computer in question with out any problems. I did manage (i think), to install a Linux distro onto the pendrive but when i went into the BIOS the only BOOT options available were:

Floppy Group
Hard Drive Group
CD-ROM Group
NetworkBoot Group

Does this mean i won't be able to use the Pen drive?

Looks like it, yeah. Why not install on a CD-ROM?

You may be able to boot from USB using PLOP: http://www.plop.at/en/bootmanager.html#intro

I have not tried it personally; I find that burning a CD is simple and foolproof for my needs.

Did you click the link and read about PLOP?
