Welcome to LQ. .. .. ..

Pdfsam http://www.pdfsam.org/ : A Java based PDF merge and split tool.

Pdfsam-2.2.1-out-src : Better the enhanced version pdfsam-2.2.1e,
and preferable as en rpm package : Difficult to build from source ?

The package pdfsam-2.2.1e-2.noarch.rpm can be downloaded here
https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B7S25...nload&hl=en_US

It is a "Suse 11.4 Factory" package, repacked to use the older el5 'rpm' :
# rpm -Uvh pdfsam-2.2.1e-2.noarch.rpm

EDIT: A launcher was added to the package. (The start command is 'pdfsam'.)

Good luck !
..
