How to increase size of / partition in Redhat 6.1


Hi I am new to linux and wanted to know how can I increase size of / partition in Redhat 6.1.

My / partition is on lvm. Please find the below output for more information.

#df -h

# extend filesystem
resize2fs -p /dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00
