How to import profile into Thunderbird in Ubuntu 6.10

Sorry for the dumb question. How in the world do I import my profile folder from Thunderbird in XP to Thunderbird in Ubuntu 6.10 ? or is it even possible?

Have you exported your profile in XP? if yes then just use the import option (in the tools menu) in Thunderbird on Ubuntu.

Thunderbird will allow you to share a single profile between windows and Linux if your machine is a dual boot..

Typically I just copy the profile folder then edit the profiles.ini to the new profile name. DONE.. profile imported. works on Windows or Linux

/home/username/.mozilla-thunderbird/profiles.ini
c:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Settings\Thunderbird\profiles.ini
