i am new to linux! and i think i am enjoying it! i have learned some basic commands! but now, i am so confused, i do not know where should i start to learn and what should i learn about linux first and second and so on~

i hope someone could understand what i am talking about and give me some advices,

Here's a good book: "Beginning Linux Programming" from Wrox. It's available in most large bookstores or at Amazon. Also, check the O'Reilly website for LOTS of Linux books, including some free online.

Just play around with linux until you have a question. Then ask it.

We can't point you in a direction unless you have a direction you want to go. Take some classes in ethical hacking if you are interested in security. Also take some courses in internet security.

From my point of view (and I've voiced that ages ago) "true" hackers are selfsupporting and autonomous to the core, finding something of interest, digging in and unearthing the necessary nfo all by themselves (well, OK, with very few help). As such I think "real" hackers do not become hackers: they are. I'd second the "just go play around with GNU/Linux" idea, and if you find nothing of interest you can always become a distribution reviewer ;-p

There is a better angle to look at the system then hacking, probably you can look forward to contribute to the robustness of the security of the operating system rather then getting into hacking the same .

In short, for anything or everything for that matter you have to learn how the system works , the filesystem and its operation, then only a meaningful contribution is possible .

Go Ahead, try to learn how the shell and filesystem works
