how to git clone/checkout only x86_64 architecture

Hi,

I would like to clone/checkout repository for only x86/x86_64 architecture ?
from (git clone --depth 1 git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git)
for later compilation - is it possible ?

thank you,

What distribution are you using? What do you mean by "check out"? What exactly are you trying to do from Git?

Maybe try to go to www.kernel.org

As there are some links for Gitweb there to go to for whatever kernel version you are seeking?

Not asking about version - Question was/is about architecture ?
