How to get WPA on Linpus?

Hi

Iam very new to Linux, so please be patient.

I have installed Linpus lite on my laptop as i wanted a easy GUI for using my laptop as basically just a media player.

When i try to connect to my WIFI network i cant see a option for WPA, after googling i cant find any tutorials to fix this, i read about a WPA supplicant but cant find one suitable for using with linpus.

Can anyone help please..

Are you able to see any sort of encryption option? Such as WEP?
Could be you need an updated driver.
What is the make and model of the laptop and the Wireless Network INterface card?
