How to get windows to see other partitions on my computer

i have 1 ONE hard-disk and 3 partitions

PARTITIONS:Windows XP media center edition on partition 1, uBuntu 8.1 swap area on partition 2 and Ubuntu 8.1 on partition 3.

Is there such thing as a free program that can look and edit partitions?

Hi,

Welcome to LQ!

Look at 'Disk Partitioning' section of 'Tools, Recovery, Diagnostic, Emergency' part of 'Slackware-Links' and choose your poison. More than just SlackwareŽ links!

Yes

You have partitioning tools as part of your Ubuntu 8.10. There is fdisk and cfdish using the terminal, as root, and GParted, also as root, with a graphic interface.

If you want to work on all of the partitions at once, you can download Parted Magic or GPartedLiveCD and use one of them. Partitions can not be manipulated while mounted, making it sometimes awkward to work on a linux installation with its own partitioner.

Well, that woulod be use be useful if i could get into uBuntu which i cant because it has used all of the 5GB i gave it when i installed uBuntu and uBuntu wont boot without making a log of each time it boots the computer. because it only has like 1BYTE left no, not 1 Kilobyte 1byte one byte is one letter on this post.
