How to get the codename for the processor in Linux?
Hi Folks,
When I want find the CPU config i get all information from /proc/cpuinfo. Only one thing I am missing is finding the codename of the processor. From windows i use a tool which gives me this. Example codenames are Prestonia, Foster etc etc. |
not sure why youd want that but im sure a google search would turn out that information
p.s. please only post your question in one forum, making multiple posts of the same question only wastes space in the database and wont get your question answered any faster |

dmidecode as root |
