not work

I do it but it doesn't work, when I open a terminal , I have the root rights only into the terminal session and not into gnome. For example from the terminal I can open an archive but from gnome I can't.

You want to log in to your session as root. For example, if you use KDM or GDM, you enter root as the user and the password, pick a session type (Gnome for example) and login. Gnome will start and you will be logged in as root. Alternatively, you can su from a terminal and then start any program from that "root" terminal and it will run as root.
