how to find the time of execution
 
Hi,
I'd like to know if there is a way to find out when a particular command(from history) was executed. Is there any such log files..? pl help

Depends on what command it was. Some commands get logged in one of the /var/log logs otherwise there isn't a mechanism in place by default (GRSecurity, SELinux) to log it. In any case there can be no correllation with .bash_history unless the command leaves a log trace somewhere else plus the command has to have unique characteristics. Maybe post some more info for us to work with, this is too terse.
