how to find own ip address in fedora 5


using fedora core 5

I thought I could use ifconfig to see the
current address.

maybe this only works in mandrake

bash: ifconfig: command not found
[root@localhost david]#

oops found it in

sbin

./ifconfig

not in path i guess

open the URL www.findmyip.com .......it will show yr IP unless u r using some proxy server.

Easier to use /sbin/????? rather than cd then ./????
You'll probably find a few you need to do this with.
