How to execute xmms


How do I want to execute xmms without using the terminal? Because right now I execute it through the terminal using command:

[root@localhost /]# xmms &

There may be an entry for it in the menu of the desktop environment/window manager you're using, so you can look for it and click it. If there's no entry, you can add one (I know you can do this for KDE and Fluxbox, but probably other DEs/WMs also) or make a shortcut icon on the panel (in GNOME, KDE, XFCE or other DEs).

If you want more detailed instructions, you'll need to tell us which desktop environment or window manager you're using.

Also, you do know that you can run XMMS as a regular user, right?

Create a desktop or menu entry. What DE are you using? Is there any particular reason why you are running as root?

Right click on the desktop -> Create Launcher.

I could find where is the xmms executable file is. In which folder?

Look in /usr/bin for xmms.
