There is problem with Yum conguration in my machine and i try creating local repository , Meanwhile , i copied vim rpm's alone from DVD and intalled vim editor using "rpm -ivh" command.Now, vim editor is working fine

Have you tried yum update before commanding yum install vim. Anyways have a look at the link below. Download the rpm and install it. this should solve your problem.
