How to enable DIF/DIX on RHEL6.3?

My understanding is RHEL6 supports DIF/DIX for only direct I/O applications and devices. I have a couple HUSSL4040ASS600 and an LSI 9211. I think both devices have DIF/DIX enabled and I think the only thing missing is an application that supports DIF/DIX but unsure how to check this.

How do I make sure DIF/DIX is enabled in my devices and where can I get a list of DIF/DIX supported applications?
