How to emerge this shell extension in Sabayon?

https://github.com/LukynZ/extensions...ensions-gpaste

I'm trying to emerge that ebuild. I don't know how to though and the Gentoo wiki on ebuild isn't much help. Can someone just tell me the commands I need to use to emerge that package?

The Sabayon documentation has these instructions, which I found via a Google search for "installing an ebuild".

http://wiki.sabayon.org/index.php?ti..._Party_Ebuilds

Is that what you tried?

No I tried the Gentoo Wiki. Thanks for this link. I will check it out and see if it works.

I tried that and got this:

jonquil@jonquil gpaste$ ebuild gnome-shell-extensions-gpaste-20110930.ebuild manifest
!!! /usr/local/portage/app-misc/gpaste/gnome-shell-extensions-gpaste-20110930.ebuild does not seem to have a valid PORTDIR structure.

The structure of portage is well defined, the package name in the directory and the ebuild do not match, since one is "gpaste" and the other is "gnome-shell-extensions-gpaste".

Anyway, you should probably learn to use layman and add the keruspe overlay, it seems to have a couple of ebuilds for gpaste:

http://gpo.zugaina.org/x11-misc/gpaste

In that page you can search the overlays. Probably most of what you need has been needed before by someone else.
