How to dual boot a linux machine

Another basic question!

Can anyone tell me how to set up an existing RHEL3 3 server to dual boot Windows XP. I want to add a hard drive and install XP on it to run my recording studio from...

Also, when I add the recording peripherals, how di I prevent them from being rcognized by Linux?

Thanks!

Robin.
