how to download touchpad driver for Fedora


Hello everyone!
I have Linux Fedora, and unfortunately my touch pad does not work
I wanted to know where I can download a driver?
Thanks in advance!

well if you want a driver, do you not think maybe it'd help to tell us what the hardware is? Generally it's more than likely that the synaptics driver will run fine on it, but isn't working for some reason.

what version of fedora ?
fedora 14 should have the laptop pad supported
seeing as dell also puts Ubuntu on laptops it should work

GNOME 2.32.0

Not sure how but it's from synaptic.

posting the error in the log might help
is there a error in /var/log
dmesg?
massages ?
xorg.0.log ? this would have a (EE) about it not supported
but it should be working .udev should pick it up and load the driver in the kernel


is it turned on ?
System->Preferences->Mouse->Touchpad

did you turn it on in the laptop BIOS ??

dose a usb mouse work if you plug it in ?
what have you tried ?
