how to detect hardware problem in fedora 12?


hi,my asus lappy always freezes and not responding when loading fedora 12,is it caused by hardware problem or bugs?can i detect hardware problem through installing any software in fedora?any suggestion? thanks..

Try a check...

Burn a CD with memtest if your fedora CD does not have it, and run it to check the memory. You should run memtest on one RAM stick at a time.

What does the command "dmesg" tell you about the boot process and what error messages are generated? More information would be of help.
