how to create DNS for two network(10.114.12.0/24 &172.18.0.0/24)

hi all,
i am trying to set up dns on ubuntu.
i used these step:
-apt-get install bind9
-created zones files for network-10.114.12.0/24 and changed in named.conf.local.
my dns system ip address is 10.114.12.26. now this dns is working for all 10.114.12.x client.

now i want that this dns should work with network 172.18.0.0/24.
so what are changes i have to make in zones other files so that this will work with 172.18.0.x client.

so plz tell me how to set up dns for two network.
all clients and dns are connected to switch.......

I'm guessing you're creating zones for reverse lookup, just duplicate what you did previously

ie.
- create zone file for network 172.18.0.0/24
- add entry in /etc/named.conf for the new network
- ensure hosts on the 172.18.0.0/24 network are configured to use your name server

cheers

You are talking about inter network routing. In this scenario you need to create route entries first so that dns packet reach reach your dns server from diffrent network. If you put your zone configuration in default zone then i don't think you need to anything on dns server side.

thnks
