How to create ACL

Hi All,

I am new to Linux and using CentOS 5.3.

With the help of forum I installed CentOS 5.3 now I want to create ACL for SQUID. Can anybody help me to create ACL ?

Right now I am using Broadband Router. My Idea is to removed Broadband Router and just define all ISP's details on 1 NIC and on 2nd NIC have to define private IP Pool.

All user should access Internet through CentOS machine.

How I can do the same and how I can define different policies for different user's.

Regards

Well this is generic squid config, so I'd really suggest you read the squid docs / howto. No point us reinventing the wheel by reciting it.

To view the ACLs for a file, use getfacl
To set the ACLs for a file, use setfacl

Note that your filesystem has to supports ACLs i.e have been
mounted with the acl option enabled.

Dude, he's clearly talking about squid acl's, not ext3 acl's. you might have only heard the acl tla in an ext3 context but there are literally hundreds and hundreds of products in the world which use something called an "acl"
