Did you try to access your samba share from Windows machine ? If yes then how ?

Have you ever been able to access this Samba share ?

/home directory belongs to root and local unix/system users only have read access to it and write access to their own home directory inside /home directory?

"admin" account mentioned in the configuration file , which group it belongs to ? Is this windows admin account(listed in Windows AD) ?

Do not change permissions for /home directory. If you want to share any directory then create a directory inside /home and then modify its permissions.

Here is an article to help you add SAMBA users.
http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/adding-...mba-smb-share/

P.S. After creating user(s) you can share that(those) user name(s) and password(s) with the people who needs access to this share.
