How to copy text from vmware from linux text terminal in to word document in windows?

Did you try <CTRL>-C and <CTRL>-V? Saving the text to a file in Linux, then copying it over to Windows?

You don't give alot of details on your setup, so it's hard to say. Things like if this is on the same box, what the host OS is and what the guest is, etc.

Or highlight and middle mouse button?

host machine is xp and i installed vmware in xp , now i want to copy text from text terminal into word document in windows, how to do it?

As TB0ne and devnull10 suggested, you should be able to simply cut and paste between Windows and VMWare.

Potential "gotcha": you probably need to install VMWare tools on your guest OS (here, your Linux). This article is a bit old, but it should still be valid for whatever release of VMWare you happen to have:

And you still haven't answered whether or not the ctrl-c/v combination worked. And if you want to install VMware tools, go to the vmware site, download them, and follow the instructions.

Exactly how you install VMWare tools depends on what VMWare product you're using (for example, VMWare Workstation), and version#.

But in any case:
1. VMWare tools is provided on an .iso file
2. You "mount" the .iso in your guest OS (as though it were a real CD)

You might want to read the OP's other threads. Doesn't appear to be too good at reading directions, or understanding them.

i could install vmware tools in windows but i could not install in linux why ? so?
i have install vmware in e folder. is that a reason? help me please and should i download vmware server 2.0.2 is it free? as it showing that it is free.

Since you don't say what's wrong, how do we know why? Did you, again, try to look up the error(s) you got?
No idea, since I don't think any of us here know what an "e folder" is.
Well, if it says it's free, it probably IS. And again, since you're not too keen on reading/understanding things, we don't know what version you need, since you've never bothered telling us ANY details about your installation.

If you read the previous posts, and tried to look anything up for yourself, you'll know what version you need, where to get it, and how to install it.

Perhaps "e folder" means the Windows E:\ drive??
