how to convert ntfs to fat32


hi

i have a windows partition i would like to convert from ntfs to fat32, is there a linux program to do so?

I don't think so. Partition Magic does it though. I did and it worked. No data loss either

bah... well the thing is, lilo cant get to windows, i think this is because there is no boot.ini file on my windows parittion... so i needed to make a boot.ini... but i cannot because i cant write to ntfs

Windows 'Recovery Console' should be able to fix your problem.

Boot from your Win2K/XP CD, press R at the appropriate screen, at the console, type 'FIXBOOT'

hrm... now lilo wont boot and i get NTDLR missing as an error

i think i FIXBOO'ted the wrong drive

AHHH!!!!!! i FIXBOOT'ed LINUX, its now FAT.....*sniff sniff* hahaha, i shuold be more careful

You can still boot Windows with a bootdisk, but I need to know where your Windows partition is located.

lol demonbane, before i read your post i formated my linux and windows parititions so i can start fresh thanks for the help though
