Hello,
Where is the proxy server ? Your server or ISP? If your PC is the proxy server, he must accept connections to that port. (iptables ACCEPT) In both cases the router's firewall must forward that port. Check router config. |

the proxy is my ISP. The router config is good as connect to the internet via the same router on Windows. |
Have you ever tried without NetworkManager ?
My PC is a Fedora 8 and I share it's connection with my mother's - a debian box - via ethernet with IPMASQ, and I had to disable NetworkManager in the debian box to get it to work. |
