how to connect to the internet in a win98 lan & wingate 5.0.7 proxy server?
 
hi,
can any one help me to connect my Dual Boot [win98se/Mandrake9.1] box to the internet in a win98se LAN (server using Win98se + Wingate proxy server 5.0.7) all other win98se machines (including this one , in win98se) uses Wingate Client software & have their own IP specefied.

And i also want to use LAN shares in the Mandrake 9.1 ( i hv 1 cd of Mandrake9.1).

plz reply ASAP.

What would will probably have to do, is specify the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and possibly DNS server(s). You might want to try to use DCHP to configure your Internet connection with Mandrake. If it doesn't work then manually configure it as explained above.
