My PC is AMD athlon running fedora core 4. I have a USB ADSL model manufactured by Nortek and got the driver from EciAdsl. but the installation proccess that comes with the driver is for connection with PPPoE, and my connection is direct...

My problem is that I need to connect it to the Internet via LAN, and I just don't know how to do it. When I'm connecting in Win XP I need no phone number and no user name/password. When I create a connection on Win XP I choose "connect using broadband connection that is always on..., and doesn't require you to sign in"

Well, does any of this make sense to you guys? any idea what I should do in order to be able to connect to the Internet?

As long as your NIC is detected and you are configured to use DHCP you should be fine. It should be just a matter of plugging in and getting on the net.

How can I make Fedora 'recognize' my USB modem? and where should I insert the IP address and DNS detailes?
