How to connect through internet
 

Hi Im using Red Hat 6.1
I tried to via telner to a bbs
using minicom
I could hear the dial tone and its dial the phone
but after it finished the handshaking
I only got garbage I verified bits and parity and It seems fine but I can-t see the letters
and another question
how can I configure my computer to get connected through internet and which application does I need to run for the dial up networking?

go to www.linuxdocs.org and lookup internet related docs and ppp stuff. in the gui, u could use kppp (kde) or lokkit (gnome) or others. wvdial works well in the console
