Question How to connect putty with VMware guest host (RHEL4)

Hello all,
Could you provide me steps on how to connect the guest OS (RHEL 4) using Vmware thru host OS( Win 7)

I am using Bridged connection. How to choose the static IP to be added in the Host OS.

Regards,
Aastha

You don't have to set any extra IP in the host. The ip has to be set in the guest just like if it was physical. Of course, it's up to your lan what ip, mask, etc to set in the guest being static and in bridged mode. If your guest doesn't have to be reached from other clients in your lan, then you don't need bridged mode.
