How to connect a cisco router to RedHat Enterprise Linux

Hi

I am using Redhat Enterprise linux 5.3.
When I am trying to connect my router(Cisco 2600) it is showing Offline.
I am using minicom to connect.
This is my minirc.dfl file parameters

pr port /dev/ttyS0
pu baudrate 9600
pu escape-key ^A
pu rtscts No
pu xonxoff No

When I try the command dmesg | grep tty, the following mesg is showing

[root@scorpio7 ~]# dmesg | grep tty
Xen virtual console successfully installed as ttyS0

I checked the BIOS, the serial port is enabled.

Any one have any Idea about this problem.

Are you using the blue cable?
These where my settings, a while ago, don't have a serial port anymore:

Quote:

Comm Parameters:
Baud 9600
Parity None
Stop 1

Under COnfigure MiniCom
Hardware and software flow control are both NO

Here is a guide
