How to configure line-in with an Audigy 2

Hi @ all!

Well, I have Red Hat Linux 9, an Audigy 2 and a Lifetec LT 9415.
After installing my redhat everything was fine but I heard no sound
while watching TV. Then I connected my boxes with the
TV-card and I got sound! So I think I have an problem with the
line-in. Under Windows2000 it all worked. With the Sis7012 under
Suse 8.0, too. Does anyone know how to solve the problem?

I'm having the exact same problem. Gentoo Linux, Audigy Platinum 2, with the emu10k1 CVS driver.

Are you using ALSA? If so, typing "alsamixer" as root lets you control the sound of EVERY part of the card. Thats what I do,

I'm using the OSS module, right now. I can tweak the mixer all I like but it doesn't do anything.

Now I have a bigger problem... I can't get the emu10k1 to work!
I configured it as under Redhat 9, but it doesn't work with Debian
3.0rc1. Everything seems ok (lspci, kern.log, modules.conf ...).
Did anybody got the emu10k1 to work under Debian 3.0?

I have the same problem:

sb audigy
emu10k compiled in kernel
debian 3.0
installed alsa

I can start alsamixer without errors
modprobing emu10k does not work
xmms is telling something like:
check if you have the correct output selected

Don't know if this'll help:

When I recompile the kernel I'm always unable to get audigy working whether it's been done as a part of the kernel or as a module. So...

Downloaded emu10k1 driver from sourceforge.net

Read what it had to say, which was basically don't recompile your kernel with emu10k1 support whatever type, compile kernel with sound support leaving out emu10k1, then once compiled install the emuk10k1 driver from the downloaded source code. You've got to have the kernel source code as well or your system for it to be able to compile the module but it works. No problems since.

There's probably a simple work around but that's what I do.

I enabled my SiS 7012 again (i810_audio) and connected it to my
TV card and I heard sound! So I think the problem must be the
driver of the Audigy 2
