I have a Multitech MT9234ZBA-USB modem. The CD included RHEL drivers which I have installed with RPM. The lsusb command output shows the modem: Bus 004 Device 005: ID 06e0:0319 Multi-Tech Systems, Inc.
Which communications software should I use to connect to the modem and issue AT commands?
after some reading I'm assuming the modem you got does not come with the latest drivers, so I did some checking and found from their web site the drivers, scroll all the way down it's the last file "2-6-29thru33...."
Thanks for the driver information. However, my question is a little more basic. Assuming the latest driver is installed, how do I actually communicate with the modem to issue AT commands to configure and/or test it?
