Question

Hi all...I am an absolute newbie in this matter.here is my computer setup and the problem:
I have a compaq 7360 which has 56 mb of ram 20 gigs total hd space,k6-2 500 mhz processor,Ess allegro sound card..I also have dsl installed on my system and that is where things get very tricky...I use pppoe to connect to the internet...no prob mandrake supports that...but it unfortunately doesnt support my card right out of the box...I read the documentation with my card and it said I had to complie the tulip.o and kernel.h files....but there is already a tulip driver on my system...Im wondering if I will be able to get my Network everywhere fast card from linksys to work...and if so how?I use linux mandrake 7.2
and I have roaring penguin pppoe client installed

compiling

the kernel must either include the tulip driver or modular support for it. The one you are booting may not.
Try "modprobe tulip".
