How to compile the c++ file in NS2


I want to know what compiler can i use to compile the c++ file in NS2 since i installed it in windows using cygwin, i have not idea how to compile and run the file after i create it. So, do microsoft visual c++ will be any used or i need something like eclipse to compile it?

I have no idea what NS2 is.

If you have something installed in cygwin under windows, you would use: g++.

Eclipse and Visual C++ are IDE-s not compilers... (so you can compile without one IDE).
