How to check version of Kernel I am using


Hi All,

I am using Fedora 4
Try to install a program that reqires kernel version 2.6.
But it is not working!
How can I check the version of kernel that I am usng??

uname -a from a terminal

uname -r on my debian Armada 7400 gives
2.6.7

uname -a gives
Linux debian 2.6.8.1 #7 Fri Dec 31 12:15:23 PST 2004 i686 GNU/Linux
on my son's PC

In my ubuntu breezy 5.10 it is uname -r .
