I using a target board in which the bootloader is u-boot.During the booting process itself I want to access it through ethernet from other system & not from serial(which is the default case).
Can anyone tell me how this can be done...

No, no one but you. You don't say anything about the target board, what model, any specs or anything else. And, since this is before the OS is loaded, you're totally dependent on the capabilities of the target board, not Linux.
