how to change/set fqdn?
 

Hi.

Running Suse 10.2 on an x86_64 machine.

I would like to be able to ssh into my machine from other machines outside of the local network...but am not to sure how to go about setting it up.

I am told that I have to set a fqdn...what is the difference between this and the hostname?

The files I have to edit are in /etc...but there are quite a few relating to host...which will I have to edit?

Would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction.
