how to change sectors, heads and cylinders in hard disk
 

in fdisk expert options some options are to change the number of cylinder ,sectors .
i tried but after the system restarts the number changes to default .
how can i change these numbers ?
and if it is not changed then whats the use of these options...

Did you write it by pressing w at the end? (I'm talking about the fdisk at the console)
