How to change Keyboard Layout/Maps in Runlevel 3 CentOS 6.5

I am currently using system at Runlevel 5 with the GNOME GUI. I have changed the Keyboard Layout/Maps to English Colemak (US), even when I open a Terminal.

However when I open another console, Ctrl-Alt-F2, which operates at Runlevel 3, it goes back to the default/standard Keyboard Layout/Maps, QWERTY. How do I change the Keyboard Layout/Maps to English Colemak (US) in Runlevel 3? Or Globally for that matter.

Thank you.

The X and console keyboards are handled in a quite different manner with different drivers. The X keyboards live in /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols while the console ones are in /lib/kbd/keymaps/i386/. Unfortunately, as you can see, there are qwerty layouts and Dvorak ones, but no Colemark: you'd have to write your own by adapting the Dvorak or qwerty file. The file is loaded with the loadkeys command and you can get more information from the man page for keymaps.
