how to change icons


hi-

i've recently installed mandrake (last night) and i would like to install a different icon set, so i downloaded one.

All the files are .png format but there is no .theme file how do i install the png files as my default icons?

I am assuming that you are using KDE.

In the control center, go to Appearance and Themes>Icons>Install New Theme.

The mistake that you are making is a common one - you extracted. You must point this "Add New Themes" dialog to the archive file (.tar.gz, .gz, etc.....)

It will then load them, and become selectable.
