how to change CD to *.iso file?


what software can do that?

I didn't understand exactly what you wanted. I assume you want to put your cdrom contents inside a big iso file.

Try this:

dd if=/dev/cdrom of=/my/iso/file conv=sync

If not, look for cdrecord, mkisofs... and friends

I am sorry .because im Chinese .so my english is not good.
thank you for your reply.
i mean i have a redhat linux CD,but my CD-Rom is so bad.
i want to install linux with harddisk .but it need iso file.
so i want to copy all the file to harddisk and change them into
iso file.

What OS (operating system) are you using?

If you are using windows you can download programs such as "undisker" to copy CDs into .ISO files.

the command I gave to you works very well.

Try downloading a small floppy distro, if you don't have Unix at home...

And that's ok if you're chinese. I'm Brazilian and my english is bad too
