how to CD-ROM [SCSI type] mount in linx????


[root@fedora work] # df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on






/dev/sr0 609M 609M 0 100% /media/Fedora 9 i386 Disc 1

---------------------------------------------------------------------
[root@fedora work] # ll /dev/cdrom
----------------------------------------------/dev/cdrom -> sr0

==================================================================
here scsi typ, how can i cd-rom mount ? i really want solve the problem. plz help me....

Hi, welcome to LQ.

this directory must exist before you try to mount it
you may need to be root to create it...

mkdir /media/cdrom

like this...

su (enter root password when asked)

mkdir /media/cdrom
to mount the cdrom at /dev/sr0 type in a shell...

mount /dev/sr0 /media/cdrom
On most systems cdrom exists after install.
