How to Burn Distro ISO's in Linux?


is this command sufficient? I'm trying to burn fluxbuntu if that makes a difference.

cdrecord -v dev=3,0,0 image.iso

Try something like
Code:
#cdrecord -v -eject dev=/dev/hdc image.iso
Replace /dev/hdc with your own cd recorder.

i forgot which hda my cd recorder is, is there any way to check? it doesn't show up in the graphical file manager

Run the command "dmesg", look at the output and you will see which one is your cd device.

Or K3B should do it just select
"tools"
"burn CD image"

or if you want to put it on DVD
Tools
Burn DVD ISO image

Do a
# cdrecord --scanbus
This command is used to find SCSI address of the CD/DVD-Recorder on the system.

One can use k3b also to burn an iso image.
