How to burn data to a cd for MAC

I have MAC files on my hard drive that I'd like to burn to cd with HFS because they are going to be migrated back to a mac system. I was going to burn them with my Windows but I know the file system is different and the sizes of the folders look relatively small compared to when viewing them with my linux. So how do I go about burning cd's first of all with my linux?

Doing my research!

well, a mac should be able to read a standard iso9660 cd.

check the -hfs option to mkisofs, and also the manpage of mkisofs under the "HFS Options" section.
