how to burn a small ubuntu [pud]
the download from home site is a zip file; do i just open the zip and copy contents to a cd or is it more complicated??
do i need to do something special to burn an iso from a zip file??

What did you download?
If it is like iso.zip, then you can unzip and burn as an image

Home site? Do you mean ubuntu.org? If so you don't have a zip file. Windows sometimes get zip files confused with .iso files. You burn the the .iso as an image. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BurningIsoHowto

Pretty straight-forward. Not very difficult to understand. Your title is misleading, though. xPud is NOT Ubuntu, and aside from "Compatible with Ubuntu," has nothing to do with Ubuntu. This simply means it probably uses the Ubuntu repositories.

i think the instructions on the website are for install on usb or hd. my question was how burn on cd for live cd use. thanks.
