How to build a non compressed kernel

We are working on 2.6.28. We have a requirement that we should boot using a non compressed kernel image. Can any one suggest me how can I build a non compressed kernel?

the vmlinux image should be created before the compressed vmlinuz image as part of the build process. It's not until thats created that you can then compress it, right? Just build the tree and it should be there in the same place.
