how to boot windows on 2nd harddrive using lilo?


how to boot windows on 2nd harddrive using lilo?
my first harddrive has redhat8 and windows xp..
and the 2nd harddrive has a single partition withWindows98
its like this:

other=/dev/hda1
label=WindowsXP

#this is the line that i added to lilo..
other=/dev/hdb1
label=Windows98


when i choose the Windows98 when im in lilo it says
L?

whats the matter? can someone teach me the right way to boot my windows 98 on my 2nd drive which is hdb.

If I am correct, you can't boot to the second HDD from LILO without logically swapping the disks.

User GRUB with the "map" function and it will trick windows into thinking its on the primary hard disk even though its on the slave.

I hit the F9 key at startup and choose hdd1 a boot device.Real easy.

oh btw.. this is the part that i inserted to my lilo.conf

other=/dev/hdb1
table=/dev/hdb
map-drive=0x80
to=0x81
map-drive=0x81
to=0x80
label=Windows98

ooooops.. im sorry. this is not the lilo.conf that i modified.. its in another pc.. lol.. ill post it again later..
