how to autostart VNCSERVER on Knoppix bootup?

I work on broken notebooks all day. Sometimes the LCD screens are inoperable. How can i boot knoppix with vncserver running so that i can access the data (for backup) via a remote vnc viewer? Is there a start-up command?

Cheers

Hard enough to start sshd on boot with knoppix (for me, I've read the HOWTO's and had no success).

Not sure if 'saveconfig' option on knoppix saves rc.local. It should.

Regardless, if you figure it out, please post.
