how to add wireless printer on Mint 14
 

I'm trying to add wireless printer and get following message

FirewallD is not running. Network printer detection needs services mdns, ipp, ipp-client and samba-client enabled on firewall.

What do I do?

I would recommend giving the printer a static IP address for ease of administration. I have had experiences in which my printer was not detected, but, once I entered the IP address in the detection tool (I was using HPLIP's hp-setup routine, since it was an HP Printer), could be set up flawlessly.

Once the device is visible on the network (can be pinged), adding it should not be different from adding a wired network printer. If you have trouble, the first trouble-shooting step I would recommend is to connect the printer to the network with an ethernet cable and test in order to rule the wireless out of the equation.

Please post more information about what you have tried, what make/model printer is involved, and what precise error messages you are getting, making sure to enclose them in "code" tags, which become available when you click "Go Advanced" down there at the bottom of the Quick Reply window.
